In training held on Saturday morning (29), at Ninho do Urubu, Flamengo concluded its preparation for the classic against Fluminense, valid for the decision of the Campeonato Carioca. After the pre-training activities at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA), the red-black athletes went to Field 5, where the warm-up took place.
Next, tactical training began on the same pitch, where coach Zé Ricardo made final adjustments to the team, outlining the lineup that will take the field for the match. During the training, the group received guidance on defensive set pieces, both for free kicks near the penalty area and corner kicks.
Attacking movements in these types of plays also received special attention during the activity, with adjustments to positioning within the penalty area. To conclude the morning, on one side of the pitch at Field 5, part of the group performed collective training on a reduced-size pitch. Meanwhile, on the opposite side, other players practiced free kicks.
The squad will remain concentrated at CT George Helal, with full focus on the first classic in search of the State title. The Fla-Flu will be played this Sunday (30), at Maracanã, with the ball rolling from 16 pm.
