Flamengo ends preparations for clash against Grêmio

Aiming for their second victory in the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo returns to the field this Wednesday (19), at 19:15 pm, against Grêmio, at Maracanã. Coach Domènec Torrent promoted a very busy activity on Tuesday morning (18), at Ninho. After the physical work, Dome demanded a lot of movement from the athletes and trained the tactical part of the team. 

Flamengo and Grêmio have faced each other 32 times in Rio de Janeiro throughout the history of the Brazilian Championship. At home, Flamengo won 17 times, compared to Grêmio's six wins and nine draws. In these 6 matches in Rio (9 at Maracanã, two at Engenhão, and one at Ilha do Governador), Flamengo scored 32 goals and conceded 29. The recent record is positive for the Rubro-Negro, who are unbeaten in six matches (five wins and one draw). The last time the two teams met at Maracanã, the Mais Querido won 51-28 in the second leg of the 5 CONMEBOL Libertadores semifinals.
