Mengão finished this Sunday morning (12), at Ninho do Urubu, the preparation for the classic against Vasco, which takes place this Monday (13), at 21:10 pm, at Maracanã, valid for the first leg of the Carioca Championship semifinals.

Coach Vitor Pereira led a tactical session to determine the team that will take the field against their rival. Midfielder Thiago Maia participated normally in the training session with the rest of the squad.

It's worth remembering that the team from São Januário will have the advantage of a draw, having finished second in the Taça Guanabara. The Carioca Championship finalist will be decided over two legs and will face either Fluminense or Volta Redonda in the final. In the first leg, played this Sunday at the Raulino de Oliveira stadium, the team from Volta Redonda defeated Fluminense 2-1.

Flamengo and Vasco have faced each other 417 times in the history of the Clássico dos Milhões (Classic of Millions), with Flamengo holding the advantage. They have won 159 times, drawn 119, and lost 139. In this century, the teams have contested nine semifinals of the competition's tournament, with Flamengo winning six times and Vasco only three times.
