On Wednesday afternoon (28), Flamengo finalized its preparations for the match against ABC, for the first leg of the round of 29 of the Copa do Brasil. The duel will take place tomorrow (20), at XNUMX pm, at Maracanã.
Under heavy rain and freezing cold at Ninho do Urubu, coach Renato Gaúcho led a tactical training session with the red-and-black players. Due to the sequence of games and the fatigue detected by the club's physiology team, players Filipe Luís, Gustavo Henrique, and Rodrigo Caio were not included in the match.
Flamengo and ABC de Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, have faced each other eight times, with Flamengo having a clear advantage. Flamengo has won seven times, drawn one, and lost none. The last meeting between the two teams took place in the 2006 Copa do Brasil, where Flamengo prevailed, winning 4-0 at the Maracanã stadium. Renato Abreu (twice), Ramírez, and Luizão scored the winning goals for the Gávea team.
