Flamengo concludes preparations for the first Rio classic in the Brasileirão

On Saturday morning (29), Flamengo finalized its preparation for the Rio derby against Botafogo, which will be played tomorrow (30), at 16 pm, at Maracanã, for the third round of the Brazilian Championship.

Coach Jorge Sampaoli led the final tactical training session at Ninho do Urubu to determine the starting lineup for Sunday's match. The Gávea team is seeking its second victory in the national competition. The Rubro-Negro defeated Coritiba 3-0 in the first round at Maraca and suffered a 2-1 defeat to Internacional at Beira-Rio in the second round.

Flamengo and Botafogo have faced each other 388 times, with Flamengo having the upper hand. Flamengo has won 145 matches, drawn 126 times, and Botafogo has won 117 times. In the Brasileirão, the two teams have played 63 matches, with Botafogo winning 23 times, while Botafogo has won 13 times and drawn 27 times.
