In the last round of the national competition before the FIFA break, Mais Querido drew 1-1 with Corinthians at Neo Química Arena and remained in the G4, with 14 points in seven games played, one less than most teams. After two days off, the squad returned last Wednesday (25), at Ninho do Urubu, and began preparation during the international break.
It's worth remembering that Flamengo had seven players called up for their national teams: Danilo and Léo Pereira (Brazil), Guillermo Varela, Nico De La Cruz and Arrascaeta (Uruguay), Gonzalo Plata (Ecuador) and Jorge Carrascal (Colombia). Initially, left-back Alex Sandro had been called up for the Brazilian National Team, but he was dropped due to a muscle injury in his right thigh.
The Flamengo squad will have a day off this Saturday (28) and will return to work on Sunday (29), focusing on the match against RB Bragantino, which will be played on April 2nd, at 21:30 pm, at the Cícero de Souza Marques stadium, in Bragança Paulista, for the ninth round of the Brazilian Championship.
