Looking to get back on the winning track, Flamengo will travel to Porto Alegre this Wednesday (5) to face Internacional, at 21:45 pm, at Beira-Rio. The match against the Colorado team will be valid for the 23rd round of the national competition.
Flamengo is currently in third place in the Série A standings with 41 points earned in 22 rounds. The team, managed by Mauricio Barbieri, faces a direct rival in the standings and hopes to secure the three points to remain in contention for the title.

Before traveling to Porto Alegre, coach Mauricio Barbieri gave a press conference at Ninho do Urubu. The coach discussed the upcoming match against Internacional and emphasized the importance of exploiting the spaces that Flamengo will have playing away from home.
"We have to approach Inter with the utmost seriousness. They also need to go for the result. Although they are more reactive, they can offer spaces that we will try to exploit. That's the approach we'll be working towards."

In the history of the Brazilian Championship, the two clubs have a very balanced record. Flamengo has already beaten Internacional on four occasions playing in Rio Grande do Sul. The victories were: 3-2 in 1982, 2-1 in 1999, 3-1 in 2002 and 2-1 in 2015.
