The final of the first round of the Campeonato Carioca is approaching, and the Flamengo squad has entered the final stretch of preparation for the grand final against Fluminense. In the penultimate training session before the match, Zé Ricardo instructed the players in tactical work that took place on Field 4 of Ninho do Urubu, outlining the team that will take the field in the classic.
Initially, professionals from Flamengo's Center of Excellence in Performance (CEP FLA) coordinated muscle activation and injury prevention work. Following this, the group moved onto the pitch for warm-up exercises.
Subsequently, while tactical work took place on Field 4, Ederson and Conca performed physical exercises on Field 3 of the training center. The number 10 also trained with the ball on the same pitch, coordinated by physical trainer Roberto Oliveira.
This Saturday (04), Flamengo will close preparations for the first decision of the year. On Sunday (05), Mais Querido will face Fluminense, in a match that will be worth the title of Taça Guanabara, the first round of the Campeonato Carioca.
