Flamengo has just achieved a historic feat by joining the list of the 30 highest-grossing clubs in the world, according to the Deloitte Football Money League 2025. Flamengo ranks 30th, breaking European dominance and projecting Brazil and the Americas onto the global football stage. Flamengo has surpassed major clubs to earn its place among the giants. 

The report, released today, places Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-German at the top of the list.

Since 1997, the Football Money League study has been recognized as the football industry's leading benchmark for assessing clubs' financial performance. The ranking, which lists the 30 teams with the highest global revenue, establishes who the sport's true economic leaders are.

The “Deloitte” study evaluates three types of club revenue: matchday (season tickets and box office), broadcasting rights (including participation in leagues and competitions) and commercial (marketing and sponsorships).

Revenue generated by Money League 2025 clubs was €11,2 billion, a 6% increase on the 2024 total. Cumulatively, Money League clubs in 2023/24 generated a record €11,2 billion, with record match-day, commercial, and broadcast revenues. In 2023/24, the average Money League club generated €560 million, comprised of €244 million (44%) from commercial revenue, €213 million (38%) from broadcast revenue, and €103 million (18%) from match-day revenue.

Flamengo's rise reflects the continued growth in commercial revenue and the strength of its fan base, which have transformed it into a global phenomenon. The 2024 report already highlighted Flamengo's potential to join the list, alongside Inter Miami, at that time boosted by the signing of Lionel Messi. Now, the Rio de Janeiro club has fulfilled this prediction, solidifying its position as an economic powerhouse in football.

A notable milestone in the club's off-field trajectory was the robust financial recovery process, initiated in 2013, guided by professional and transparent management and recognized today as the largest financial and administrative restructuring of a football club in the history of the continent. This effort resulted in significant revenue growth, increased sponsorship, activation of new markets, and numerous sporting achievements.
