Flamengo's squad returned to training on Friday afternoon at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center in Vargem Grande. Coach Andrade led a group training session for the Flamengo squad ahead of their upcoming Brazilian Championship match on Sunday against Grêmio at the Olympic Stadium.

After being rested for the Fla-Flu match, Adriano and Ronaldo Angelim return to the team. Lenon, who started in the derby, was retained in the starting lineup, as was Everton Silva, who will replace the injured Léo Moura. The starting lineup won the training session 1-0, with Emerson scoring after a beautiful pass from Adriano. Halfway through the training session, Andrade tested Rafael Galhardo and Fierro, replacing Everton Silva and Petkovic.
