Everything is ready for Mengão's debut in the Brazilian Championship. The red-and-black squad finished training this Saturday at Ninho do Urubu for the match against Atlético-MG, which will be played this Sunday at 16 pm at Maracanã Stadium. FlaTV will broadcast the match in audio format. The pre-match (with images) begins at 14 pm.

So far this season, Mengão has won the Supercopa do Brasil, the Taça Guanabara, the Recopa and the Campeonato Carioca, and has won every game it has played in the Copa Libertadores.

This Sunday's match also marks the debut of coach Domènec Torrent, who took over the team on Monday. Once confirmed, he will be on the sidelines leading the Mais Querido.

The reigning champion, Mengão, is seeking its eighth Brazilian championship. Last year, its debut was also against a Minas Gerais club, Cruzeiro: 3-1, at Maracanã.
