The reigning Rio de Janeiro champion, Flamengo, will debut in the 2025 edition against Boavista. The opening round is scheduled for the weekend of January 11th. The schedule was set at an event held by Ferj (Rio de Janeiro State Federation) this Tuesday.

The Most Beloved is the most successful Rio de Janeiro champion with 38 titles. They are seeking their 39th. In the 2024 edition, MENGÃO defeated Nova Iguaçu in the final.
