Flamengo holds its first training session in Volta Redonda.

By From the official website team - inFlamengo is already in Volta Redonda, where they will face Atlético-PR on Sunday (November 07.11th) at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium. And barely having arrived in the Steel City, the team has already begun preparations for the match against Furacão. The red-and-blacks held a pitch familiarization training session on Friday night (November 05.11th).
The players who started against Ceará last Wednesday (November 03.11rd) performed physical training, while those who did not play worked on finishing drills. Kleberson and Petkovic, both with thigh injuries, remained in Rio to recover. The only new addition to the group is the Chilean Maldonado, who was suspended midweek.
Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo, who gave a press conference during training, is only expected to test the team that will face Furacão in Saturday's (November 06.11th) training session, also at Estádio da Cidadania.
\With 40 points, Flamengo occupies thirteenth place in the Brasileirão standings and is looking to distance itself further from the relegation zone and secure a spot in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana. Atlético-PR, on the other hand, has 50 points, is ninth, and dreams of a place in the Libertadores.
