The day after the friendly match against Barra da Tijuca, coach Zé Ricardo's team returned to Ninho do Urubu in the afternoon to continue their preparation for the match against Chapecoense, valid for the 9th round of the Brazilian Championship. The training, which took place on Field 5, focused on the technical and tactical aspects of Flamengo's game.
After pre-training activities at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA), the group went to the pitch, where physical trainer Daniel Gonçalves led the warm-up. Following that, the athletes participated in technical training focused on maintaining possession of the ball under pressure.
Later, it was time for playmaking drills. During the activity, coach Zé Ricardo instructed the squad regarding the team's movement, both on the wings and in the central area of the field, with infiltrations by the midfielders and various routes by the wide players.
On Wednesday (21), Flamengo will close preparations to face the Santa Catarina team, in a match that will be played at Ilha do Urubu. The match will be played this Thursday (22) and will start at 21pm.
