The red-and-black squad began the day with a warm-up on the club's headquarters field in Gávea on Monday morning (January 18.01). Next, coach Muricy Ramalho reduced the field to work on team compactness, quick passing, possession, passing speed, and quick thinking. Meanwhile, the goalkeepers worked separately, doing specific work alongside Marcelo Cirino, Nixon, Ederson, Rafael Dumas, Thiago Santos, and Arthur Henrique. The red-and-black coach then led the team on a reduced field, with the team divided into two teams.
Muricy's starting lineup included Rodinei, Wallace, Juan, Jorge, Márcio Araújo, Willian Arão, Alan Patrick, Gabriel, Emerson, and Guerrero; on the other side, the second team consisted of Pará, Antônio Carlos, César Martins, Chiquinho, Jonas, Canteros, Éverton, Mancuello, Jajá, and Douglas Baggio. After a while, goalkeepers Paulo Victor and Alex came on for each team, respectively, playing on the wing.
Ederson, Nixon, Dumas and Thiago Santos closed the activity by running around the lawn.
