On Tuesday (27), the red-black squad finished their preparations to face Palestino-CHI in the Copa Sudamericana. Zé Ricardo led tactical work on Field 3 of CT George Helal, outlining the team that will start the match. Some of the athletes who played the ninety minutes in the victory against Cruzeiro participated only in the first part of the training session and then went to Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center to work on their physical condition.
The training session on the field focused on the team's defensive aspect. The players' positioning in this area during set pieces received special attention during training. Zé also guided the players during plays along the edges of the field, adjusting their movement inside and at the edge of the penalty area to prevent long-range shots.

Finally, in the part of the training session open to the press, it was time for collective training on a reduced-size field. On the opposite side of the field, Paolo Guerrero, Alan Patrick, and Rafael Vaz practiced free kicks directly at the goal defended by young goalkeeper João Lopes.

The group travels to Espírito Santo in the afternoon, where the match against the Chilean team Palestino will take place. The match will be played this Wednesday (28), at the Kléber Andrade Stadium, in Cariacica, with the ball rolling from 21:45 pm.
