In a game played this Saturday, at Maracanã, for the 22nd round of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo drew 0-0 with São Paulo.

The game

The Mais Querido pressed and had excellent scoring chances throughout the match, but were unable to break through São Paulo's defense. The red-and-black team's best chance fell to Willian Arão in the sixth minute of the first half. After a blitz by Mengão in the Tricolor Paulista box, Gabigol passed the ball to Arão, who shot and nearly scored. São Paulo's defense saved on the line.

In the second half, Flamengo's big chance came from right-back Rafinha, who had replaced Rodinei at halftime. In the 20th minute, he received a beautiful pass and fired a shot across goal. Volpi made a great save.
