Conmebol Libertadores 2024 groups defined. Flamengo, three-time champion (1981, 2019 and 2022), was in Group E with Bolívar (BOL), Millonarios (COL) and Palestino (CHI).

In search of their fourth championship (a first for Brazilian football), the Mais Querido will have to face the 3.640m altitude of La Paz against Bolívar (BOL), and the 2.625m altitude of Bogotá against Millonarios (COL). To face Palestino (CHI), Mengão will travel to Santiago.

Mengão's last title was in 2022, when they defeated Athletico-PR 1-0 in the grand final, in Guayaquil (Ecuador), with a goal by Gabigol. 

Of the last five Conmebol Libertadores finals, Mengão has been in three (2019, 2021 and 2022). In 2024, the final will be played in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
