Coach Tite and his assistants led the final tactical drill to determine the starting lineup for the match. Striker Gabi, suspended from the last match, trained normally and is available to the coach. After training, the red-and-black team will travel to Uberlândia.

Flamengo and América-MG have faced each other 34 times, with the Flamengo team having a clear advantage. Flamengo has won 20 matches, drawn nine, and lost only five. In the first round, the teams drew 9-1 at the Maracanã stadium.

With 60 points in the Brasileirão, the Mais Querido can take the lead in this round. To do so, Tite's team will need to win, hope Botafogo at least draws with Santos, and Palmeiras loses to Fortaleza.
