Flamengo secured their third consecutive victory in the Brazilian Championship, this time against Paraná. Playing away from home, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) team thrashed the Tricolor side 4-0 and remains firmly in the fight for the national title. The goals were scored by Lucas Paquetá, Vitinho, Uribe, and Henrique Dourado.
Since Dorival Júnior took over as manager, Flamengo has played four matches, winning three and drawing one. Under the new coach, they have scored ten goals and conceded none.
The red-black team is occupying second place in the Brazilian Championship with 58 points won and awaits the completion of the round, which will take place on Monday night (22).

Pressure and advantage
Even playing away from home, Flamengo dominated Paraná from the first minute. The "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) created more chances down the left flank with Renê and Vitinho, and it was from that sideline that the first opportunity arose. Lucas Paquetá took a shot from outside the box, but the ball went out of play.
With greater ball possession, a goal seemed increasingly likely at the Durival de Britto stadium. After a cross from the left, Uribe rose higher than the opposing defense, headed firmly, and saw Richard make a miraculous save to keep Paraná in the game.
The pressure paid off and in the 18th minute, young Lucas Paquetá opened the scoring for Flamengo. The number 11 received the ball from Uribe and shot past the goalkeeper to put it into the back of the net for the home team.
Before the end of the first half, Flamengo had two chances to extend their lead. In the first, Vitinho took a shot from outside the box and almost scored a spectacular goal. Shortly after, the number 14 passed to Uribe, but the number 20 couldn't reach the ball to score Flamengo's second goal.

The game restarted and Flamengo's approach remained very offensive. On their first attack, Willian Arão crossed the ball, the defense cleared poorly, and Vitinho unleashed a powerful shot to score Flamengo's second goal of the match. It was the second time the number 14 had found the net wearing the sacred jersey.
The Paraná team still tried to mount a comeback, but Flamengo's third goal came in the 11th minute. In a deadly counter-attack, Vitinho set up Uribe perfectly to chip the goalkeeper and score a fantastic goal at the Durival de Britto stadium.
Concerned about the players who were one yellow card away from suspension and with an eye on the game against Palmeiras, coach Dorival Júnior substituted Everton Ribeiro after 20 minutes, bringing on Diego. Due to a thigh injury, the number 10 hadn't played since the Copa do Brasil semi-final against Corinthians in São Paulo.
Paraná had a player sent off, making the mission of stopping the Flamengo attack even more difficult. Before the final whistle, striker Henrique Dourado scored, sealing the 4-0 victory. Three more points earned in the Brazilian Championship, and now the focus is on the next challenge of the season.
