Flamengo begins its journey in the Campeonato Carioca this Wednesday

This Tuesday (25), the red-black squad that will compete in the first rounds of the Campeonato Carioca finished preparing for their debut in the competition, which will be tomorrow (26) against Portuguesa, at 21:35 pm, at the Luso-Brasileiro Stadium, on Ilha do Governador. In this edition of the State Championship, Rubro-Negro will be able to make history and win the unprecedented fourth Carioca championship.
Under the command of coach Fabio Matias, Mengão's players performed tactical and set-piece training on field 4 at Ninho do Urubu. It's worth noting that the debuting team will be comprised primarily of youth players.
Meanwhile, the main cast of Mais Querido carried out another tactical and technical activity under the guidance of Mister Paulo Sousa, who continues to work hard in the red-black pre-season.
This year's Campeonato Carioca will be special for Flamengo. The current three-time champions of the competition, Flamengo will be fighting for their fourth consecutive championship in their history. Flamengo has won six consecutive championships: 1942/43/44; 1953/54/55; 1978/79/79 (special edition); 1999/00/01; 2007/08/09; 2019/20/21.
