Taking advantage of the option to register three more players for the knockout stage of the Copa Santander Libertadores, Flamengo will have one more player at each position in the next stage of the competition. Defensive midfielder Rômulo, who has also been training as a defender, midfielder Ramón, who was only not registered in the group stage due to documentation issues, and forward Dênis Marques. All will be available for Wednesday's (April 28.04) match against Corinthians.

Rômulo, a product of the club's youth academy, excelled during the club's run to the 2007 Brazilian Championship. Under Joel Santana, he earned a starting spot in midfield and was a key player in the club's campaign. However, injuries derailed his career afterward, and he returned to Flamengo this year after being loaned to other teams such as Paraná and Figueirense.

Ramón, meanwhile, was signed at the beginning of the season from CSKA Moscow, but couldn't be registered in time for the competition's group stage. He had a few opportunities in the Campeonato Carioca and sees the Libertadores as a great opportunity to showcase his talent. The same situation applies to Dênis Marques, who has played in only two matches this season: a friendly against Brasília and a match against Friburguense in the State Championship. The striker scored two goals.
