Flamengo's squad returned to training Monday afternoon in Gávea to begin preparations for Wednesday's match against Madureira in Edson Passos Stadium. With seven points from four games, the red-and-black team sits in third place in Group B of the Taça Rio.

The players who started the match against Vasco as starters completed physical training at the club's gym. The only exception was Willians, who participated with the rest of the squad in a training session organized by Cuca. New additions to the training session included new signing Emerson and left-back Jorbison, who has been excelling in the State Junior Championship and was promoted to the senior squad by Cuca.
