This week, Flamengo took to the court for the Rio de Janeiro Futsal Championship. Still affected by the storm that hit Rio de Janeiro in early April, the competition had some rounds postponed, with the 5th, against América, being held last Tuesday and Wednesday. Flamengo will play again this Saturday (May 01.05st), in an early round, against Canto do Rio.
In the under-9, under-11, and under-13 categories, the Flamengo kids didn't hesitate and defeated América. On Tuesday (April 27.04), the under-9 team won their match 4-0, and the under-11 team, defending first place, prevailed 10-1. On Wednesday (April 28.04), it was the turn of the under-13 team, also in the lead, to face América. The Flamengo boys didn't disappoint, winning 7-4. All matches were played at América's headquarters.
