In recent weeks, Brazil has united in support of the victims of the natural disaster ravaging Rio Grande do Sul. Faced with the problems caused by the floods, governments, institutions, and civil society have come together to support a severely affected population. Aware of their importance, Flamengo has joined forces with the NGO Ação da Cidadania and its sponsors to help.

In partnership with Match Worn Shirt, a specialist in rare sports memorabilia auctions, the club has made available the Sacred Mantle worn by the squad in their victory over Corinthians last Saturday. The auction, which runs until May 18, has a starting bid of 494 reais and has already raised, as of Monday afternoon (13/05), more than 37 thousand reais. All profits from the initiative will be donated to support the victims of the rains in Rio Grande do Sul.
