Flamengo fights until the end and beats Botafogo 1-0, at Nilton Santos

Flamengo took to the field on Thursday night (07), at Nilton Santos Stadium, and beat Botafogo 1-0 in a match valid for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship. In the last minutes of the game, Lincoln scored the goal that sealed the red-black victory.

The game
The derby started off quite close, with intense competition for the ball in midfield on both sides. Flamengo tried to mount offensive plays but were thwarted by numerous fouls. In the 41st minute, the Rubro-Negro created a dangerous opportunity with a powerful shot from Gabigol, which flew just wide of Gatito's right post. The first half, which was stopped numerous times, ended in a 0-0 draw.

The Mais Querido returned for the second half more alert and with their usual intensity.
