Flamengo will not repeat the lineup in São Paulo

Camacho and David, suspended, will not play. Fernando, Toró, and Michael, however, are eligible to return.

Once again, coach Rogério Lourenço will be unable to start a Flamengo starting lineup. This Saturday, Camacho and David were suspended for their third yellow card and will not face Palmeiras on Wednesday at Pacaembu Stadium. But the news isn't all bad for the coach. While both are out, Toró and Michael, recovering from injuries, could return to the team, as could Fernando, who served a suspension against Grêmio.

"We will have more returns than losses and that already represents a significant improvement," he celebrated.

Regardless of who plays, however, one thing is practically certain: Rogério is expected to maintain the three-man defense against Palmeiras. The coach approved of the team's playing style against Grêmio, and with Álvaro back, the team's tactical formation is unlikely to change.

"I think this option was the best I could have chosen for the team. I liked what I saw today; the team responded well. I haven't thought about how to line up the team on Wednesday yet; it's still too early, but I'm likely to use this formation again," he said.

David regretted the suspension, but expressed confidence in a good result at Pacaembu.

"Unfortunately I got this card, but I know my teammates will fight hard to come back from São Paulo with some points and I'll be rooting for that," he concluded.
