The game
Flamengo started the match with full force, marking Galo in attack. Flamengo relied on the strength of the Nação Rubro-Negra, who supported the team at Maracanã. The game also saw the return of Emerson Sheik, who threatened Galo's penalty area in the first four minutes.
The team continued with determination, but in the twentieth minute, Atlético-MG opened the scoring. Dátolo crossed to Pratto, the ball passed to César, and Samir played it home as he tried to clear it. In the 38th minute, Lucas Pratto surprised César and shot into the top right corner. Flamengo went into the break trailing and returned with Alan Patrick for Pará and Marcelo Cirino for Gabriel, but it wasn't enough. Paulinho came on for Eduardo, but the team couldn't score.
