In the second leg of the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals, Flamengo drew 1-1 in regulation time and lost 3-1 on penalties to Athletico-PR at the Maracanã. With this result, the red-and-black team was eliminated from the competition and now focuses all its attention on the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores da América. During the 90 minutes of play, Gabriel scored for the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved), and Rony equalized for the team from Paraná.
