On Saturday night (23), Flamengo entered the field at Maraca and was defeated by Fluminense by 3 to 1, in a game valid for the 28th round of the Brasileirão. Renê was the author of the only red-black goal in the classic. Now, Mais Querido turns its attention to the second leg of the Copa do Brasil semifinals, against Athletico-PR, next Wednesday (27), at Maracanã.

The game
The match began with Flamengo pushing forward and maintaining possession. Six minutes in, the first good opportunity arose. Matheuzinho's header from inside the box hit Marcos Felipe's crossbar.

In the 16th minute, Fluminense opened the scoring with a John Kennedy goal, who capitalized on his own rebound to make it 1-0. After conceding, the red-and-black team tried to exchange passes in the attacking half to find space in the Tricolor defense. In the 36th minute, Vitor Gabriel shot firmly with his left foot and nearly equalized. In a very poor first half, the Red-and-Black team went into the break trailing.

In the first minute of the second half, Andreas took a dangerous free kick, forcing Marcos Paulo to palm it out for a corner. Flamengo came back more aggressive after the break and threatened the Tricolor goal more. In the 12th minute, Gustavo Henrique challenged Marcos Felipe inside the six-yard box, but the goalkeeper saved. Fluminense then extended their lead again through John Kennedy, making it 2-0.

In the 25th minute, Mengão reduced the deficit! Renê attempted a shot from outside the box, the ball hit the defense halfway and fell to the full-back, who struck hard and bulged the net: 2-1. In the final stretch of the game, Abel Hernández scored Fluminense's third goal and gave the final score: 3-1.

Next appointment
Mais Querido returns to action next Wednesday (27) to face Athletico-PR, at 21:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the second leg of the Copa do Brasil semi-finals.
