In the second round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo went to Porto Alegre and ended up being defeated by Internacional 2-1 on Sunday morning (23), at Beira Rio. Gerson scored the red-black goal in the second half.

The game
The match began with both teams battling for possession. Flamengo pressed under pressure and managed to win the ball back in their own half. Just six minutes in, Everton Ribeiro took a free kick from the right and sent it straight at goal, but the goalkeeper saved it.

Rubro-Negro opened the scoring with Gabi in the 16th minute, but the referee ruled Gerson offside at the start of the play. Sampaoli's team valued possession, exchanging passes in search of a gap in Internacional's defense.

In the 34th minute, Ayrton Lucas crossed into the box, Vidal won the ball in the air, but headed wide. The first half was quite eventful, but ended goalless.

At the start of the second half, the game was very tight, with plenty of competition for possession but almost no dangerous chances. In the 10th minute, the red-and-black team came forward well. Everton Ribeiro crossed into the box for Gabigol to head in. The ball went just wide of the post.
Then, Everton Ribeiro took a shot from outside the area and the ball hit the left post of goalkeeper Keiller.

Then, in the 17th minute, Mengão opened the scoring with a stunning goal at Beira Rio! Gabi received the ball from Gerson, burst into the box, and fired a low shot. The Joker grabbed the rebound, chipped Keiller, and scored a beautiful goal: 1-0.

Internacional reacted quickly and leveled the score. Alan Patrick broke free from his marker and passed to Maurício, who had just come on, who tapped it past Santos to make it 1-1.

In the final stretch, the game opened up, with opportunities for both sides. In the 46th minute, the red-and-blacks launched a blitz on the attack. Gerson delivered a great pass to Gabi in the box; the number 10 turned and shot, but Keiller made the save. In the 50th minute, Matheus França headed the ball against the post after a corner kick from Cebolinha.

At the end, Inter scored the second goal again with Maurício, which sealed the Colorado victory at Beira Rio: 2-1.
