In the 15th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo lost to Internacional 4-0 on Sunday night (8), at Maracanã. Now, the red-black team changes focus and returns to the field next Wednesday (11) to face Olimpia, in Paraguay, for the first leg of the Libertadores quarterfinals.  

The game
Flamengo started the match attacking Internacional, passing the ball around in the attacking midfield. Flamengo played with their lines deep, making it difficult for their opponents to get the ball out. In the 16th minute, Gabigol backheeled the ball to Arão, who took a shot from outside the box, but the goalkeeper saved it.

In the 18th minute, Internacional opened the scoring with Yuri Alberto on a quick counterattack, making it 1-0. After the goal, Internacional stepped up their game and began to attack Flamengo more. In the 40th minute, Inter scored again with Yuri Alberto, making it 2-0. In the final minutes of the first half, Bruno Henrique nearly reduced the deficit with a close-range header.

Early in the second half, after a swift counterattack, Inter scored the third through Taison, making it 3-0. In the 14th minute, after a corner kick, Léo Pereira headed the ball, and Daniel made a good save. Internacional scored the fourth through Yuri Alberto, who scored his third goal of the match, making it 4-0. In a match where nothing went right, Flamengo left the field with the defeat, Renato Gaúcho's first in charge of the red-and-black team.

Next appointment
The Most Beloved returns to the field next Wednesday (11) to face Olimpia, at 19:15 pm, at the Manuel Ferreira Stadium, in Paraguay. This will be the first leg of the Libertadores quarterfinals.
