The game
The match began with both teams misplacing numerous passes, but Atlético-PR was the first to threaten in the second minute and scored in the 12th minute, with a powerful shot from Roberto that went into the top corner of Paulo Victor's net. After opening the scoring, the Furacão closed in on defense, making it difficult for Flamengo to get close to the opposing area. In the 32nd minute of the first half, Cleberson extended the lead with a header from a free kick. The Mais Querido's response came a few minutes later, when Kayke found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper Weverton after a good pass from Canteros. Before halftime, Gabriel and Paulinho also had chances but failed to hit the target.

For the second half, interim coach Jayme de Almeida replaced Canteros with Luiz Antonio. Trailing, Flamengo tried to seize the lead, but Cleberson scored again with a header: 3-0 to Atlético-PR. In the 27th minute, Gabriel was substituted for Marcelo Cirino, who returned to the field after recovering from a knee injury. A minute later, the Rubro-Negro made their final substitution: Jajá in place of Paulinho. As the final whistle approached, the opponent held on to their advantage and secured the victory.
