This Thursday afternoon, Flamengo will return to training at Gávea, putting the Copa Libertadores aside for a moment to focus on the second round of the Brazilian Championship. The red-and-black team will face Vitória at Barradão next Saturday and may field its strongest possible lineup for the match.

While many fans might have believed the team would travel to Salvador with some players rested, coach Rogério Lourenço revealed that the intention is to have all players on the field.

"We'll talk tomorrow, but it was already part of our plan to, perhaps, go to Bahia with the full team," he said.

Flamengo will only play again in the Libertadores Cup next Thursday, the 20th. Therefore, the coach doesn't believe there's a need to rest the players, considering the time they'll have to recover and prepare for the second leg of the quarter-final against "La U".

"Even considering the distance between the two games. One match is on Saturday and the other is only next Thursday, so I don't believe it will harm the team if they play with their strongest lineup in Salvador," he added.
