By Flamengo Archive - inFlamengo's squad returned to training on Tuesday afternoon at the Ninho do Urubu Training Center in Vargem Grande. During a tactical training session, Andrade finalized the details of the team that will face Fluminense tomorrow at Maracanã in the Copa Sudamericana opener.
The red-and-black coach worked extensively on set pieces and team positioning. The bad news from the session was Léo Moura's injury. The number 2 was scheduled to start, but he felt pain in his right thigh and will be rested for the Fla-Flu match. Everton Silva takes his place. Andrade named the starting lineup as follows: Bruno; David, Airton, and Fabrício; Léo Moura (Everton Silva), Lenon, Willians, Petkovic, and Everton; Emerson and Denis Marques.
Juan and Toró, injured, have been working with the medical department. Kleberson and Fierro are currently on international duty with the Brazilian and Chilean national teams, respectively.
After training, coach Andrade assured that Flamengo is viewing the South American as a very important competition.
"Our team is quite shorthanded, but we'll go in with a quality squad that can put in a good performance. We have three injured players, two on international duty, and Angelim would be rested. Adriano asked not to play and will work hard in two shifts over the next few days. This work will be important for him. We're focusing on the South American Cup, which is a very important competition. I'm naming the starting lineup, and we'll go in to win, even though we know it will be a very tough game. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win."
