A powerful shot from young Diego Maurício and a well-placed finish from Toró changed Flamengo's fortunes on Wednesday night (15.09) in Presidente Prudente. Flamengo, which conceded a goal in the 45th minute of the first half, looked like it would return from the interior of São Paulo with another defeat in its bag. But in the 40th minute of the second half, the forward broke the goal drought for his players to tie the game, and Toró, in the 48th minute, turned the game around and ended a seven-match winless streak in the competition: 2-1.
With the result, coach Silas' team reaches 26 points, moving up to 14th place. Prudente, in turn, remains with 17, occupying the last place in the table. Next Sunday (19.09), Fla has a decisive classic ahead: they face Fluminense, leader of the championship with 41 points, at 18:30 pm, at Engenhão.

Although Prudente had the first good chance of the game in the fourth minute, through Adriano Pimenta, Flamengo was in control. With more possession but little incisiveness, Flamengo dominated the game but failed to create any significant scoring chances.
The best came in the 24th minute, when Renato received the ball from Kleberson on the left, crossed and Deivid headed it against the crossbar, and soon after, in the 26th minute, when Alvim ran down the left, reached the goal line and crossed; Deivid passed it to the middle of the area, but Diogo was unable to finish.
The game seemed headed for a draw when, late in the first half, the home team opened the scoring. In the 45th minute, Cleidson crossed from the left wing and the diminutive Adriano Pimenta rose alone to head in, making it 1-0 for Prudente. In the celebration, the striker lifted his shirt and was sent off, leaving Flamengo with a man up for the second half.
Get out of here, fasting!
Needing to turn the game around and with the numerical advantage, Flamengo returned to the field with a more attacking lineup. Silas took off Correa to bring on Pet before halftime. Despite this, Prudente started the game with a threat, capitalizing on the spaces Flamengo left and going all out on the attack.
Two minutes into the game, Bruno Ribeiro took a long-range free kick that hit Lomba's left post. In the ninth minute, Cleidson crossed from the left, and Hugo found himself free to finish, sending it over the red-and-black goal. Flamengo only reached the top of the goal in the 18th minute, when Alvim received the ball on the left and crossed for a dangerous header by Kleberson, who was soon replaced by Diego Maurício.
And after 1110 minutes without a red-and-black striker finding the net in the competition, it was the number 49, who curiously was the last to score against Avaí, who tied the game in the 41st minute. In the 40th minute, he burst into the box and fired a powerful shot to make it 1-1. He narrowly missed turning the game around in the 47th minute with another powerful shot, but Toró scored the winning goal in the 48th. He capitalized on a loose ball at the edge of the box to shoot precisely into Giovani's corner: 2-1.
