Flamengo's starting lineup for next Thursday's match (August 26.08) against Atlético-MG at Maracanã is only expected to be announced moments before kick-off. On Tuesday (August 24.08), coach Rogério Lourenço led a collective training session to test the options he could use in the match, but didn't give the press many clues about who should start.

Training began at 15 p.m., but journalists were only allowed in shortly before 17 p.m. In the open part of the activity, the starting team had something new: Diogo, introduced this Monday (22.08), trained with the main team after going through the traditional Polish corridor made by his new teammates.

The team was formed by Vinícius, Leonardo Moura, Jean (Welinton), David and Juan; Maldonado, Toró, Willians and Renato; Diogo and Leandro Amaral (Val Baiano). Among the reserves, Diego, Galhardo, Jean, Thiago Sales and Rodrigo Alvim; Rômulo, Camacho, Michael and Vinícius Pacheco; Diego Maurício and Val Baiano.

The rest of the players trained on a separate field. Ronaldo Angelim, Correa, and Petkovic, who started against Atlético-PR, trained normally during the first half of the training session.
