This Friday (08), the red-black squad met at the George Helal Training Center to continue preparation for the next match, against the Atlético-MG team. A finishing drill was carried out, followed by set-piece work. Midfielder Adryan, back after a loan spell at Nantes, France, and defender Donatti, a new reinforcement for the defense, did specific work, focused on improving physical conditioning.

The goalkeepers began the day with footwork drills, focusing on short passes and long balls. There were also exercises on coming out of their goal for set pieces and quick restarts for counter-attacks. Meanwhile, muscle activation work was taking place at Flamengo's Center of Excellence in Performance (CEP FLA) with the other athletes, followed by a warm-up on the pitch of Field 2.

Later, the group went to Field 1 to begin finishing practice, both in aerial plays and ground passes, both coming from crosses from the sidelines. Next, it was time for set-piece training, both offensive and defensive, and quick counter-attacks after regaining possession of the ball.

The group will return to the CT this Saturday (08), for the last training session before the trip to Brasília, where the match against Atlético-MG will take place, for the 14th round of the Brazilian Championship. The match will start at 11 am, and will be played at the Mané Garrincha Stadium.
