Flamengo holds final training session before facing Corinthians in São Paulo

Match valid for the 14th round of the Brasileirão takes place this Sunday (1), at 16 pm, at Neo Química Arena

Everything is ready for another great game! This Saturday (31), at Ninho do Urubu, Flamengo held the last training session before the match against Corinthians, which will be played tomorrow (1), at 16 pm, at Neo Química Arena, in São Paulo. The match is valid for the 14th round of the Brasileirão, where Rubro-Negro is in sixth place with 21 points.

In the morning, coach Renato Gaúcho led a tactical training session on the training center's field. Goalkeeper Hugo, showing flu-like symptoms, was not included in the match. Tests ruled out COVID-19. Defender Rodrigo Caio, however, remains in Rio and will undergo biomechanical and muscular rebalancing work. After training, the red-and-black delegation headed to the airport and boarded a flight to São Paulo, where they are currently staying.

Flamengo and Corinthians have faced each other 140 times, with Flamengo having the upper hand. Flamengo has won 57 times, drawn 30 times, and lost 53 times. The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 2-1 victory for Flamengo at Maracanã in the 2020 Brazilian Championship. Willian Arão and Gabi scored the winning goals.
