Mais Querido is currently in first place with 27 points, one ahead of second-place Palmeiras.

Coach Tite carried out tactical work to determine the starting eleven that will take the field for the match. The red-and-black manager welcomed the return of midfielder Erick Pulgar, who was on duty with the Chilean national team that was eliminated from the Copa América. Meanwhile, Arrascaeta, Viña, De La Cruz, and Varela are still in the tournament. After training, the players continued their journey to Belo Horizonte.
