Flamengo finished this Tuesday (15), at Ninho do Urubu, the preparation for the match against Coritiba, which will be played tomorrow (16), at 21:30 pm, at Maracanã. The duel is valid for the second leg of the Third Phase of the Copa do Brasil. As it won the first leg 1-0, Mais Querido will play with the advantage of a draw to guarantee a place in the round of XNUMX of the competition.

Maurício Souza led the final tactical drill before Wednesday's game. It's worth noting that coach Rogério Ceni and forward Pedro remain in quarantine due to COVID-19.

In good form, the red-and-black defense has not conceded a goal in its last four matches: 0-0 against Vélez, 1-0 against Palmeiras, 1-0 against Coritiba, and 2-0 against América-MG. Defender Rodrigo Caio commented on the team's good form:

"It's gratifying because it shows the strength of this group and the excellent work being done by the entire staff and players. I'm very happy with the clean sheets; it's something we've been demanding of ourselves. It's not just the defense's merit, but the entire team's," said the red-and-black sheriff, who also spoke about the match against Coritiba.

"I believe it will be a very difficult match. We won the first leg 1-0. So the match is wide open, and we need to be very careful. I'm sure Coritiba will come out with all their strength to try to turn the result around. We're prepared to play a great match and leave the field with the qualification," he concluded.
