The current record between the teams is largely favorable to the red-and-blacks (five wins, two draws, and one loss), but that doesn't mean the match is already won. Chapecoense is coming off a win against Grêmio in Porto Alegre and is the current champion of the competition. Flamengo, on the other hand, also regained its winning ways with a strong performance against Sport and has a full squad for the match.

Hi, Pará

After Tuesday's training session, the last before the match, the Flamengo full-back spoke about his expectations for the game and how Flamengo should face Chapecoense to secure the spot.

"It's going to be a tough game. We all know that playing against Chapecoense is tough. We have a clear example now, when Chapecoense went to Porto Alegre and beat Grêmio, who are second in the standings. We have to be very careful not to be surprised tomorrow," commented the full-back, speaking about his expectations for the game. "I hope we have a happy night with our fans so we can advance to the next round," he noted.
