Everything is ready for another challenge in the Brazilian Championship. To remain firm in the fight for the national title, Rubro-Negro will face Chapecoense this Saturday (8), at 21 pm, at Maracanã. The Most Beloved returns to play in front of the Nation and counts on the strength that comes from the stands to find the path to victory again. 

Coach Mauricio Barbieri made the final adjustments to the training session that took place on Friday afternoon (7), at the George Helal Training Center. The activity was closed and journalists were only able to watch the athletes warm up. 

Before the last training session ahead of the match against the Chapecó team, full-back Renê gave a press conference at Ninho do Urubu and highlighted the need to win again in the Brazilian Championship. 

"On a scale of 0 to 10, our need to win tomorrow is a 10. We need to regain that confidence, the performance we had before the World Cup. We've had chances, but we need to get our footwork and final pass right. We need to be more effective, decisive in the final third of the field. It's difficult when a team like Ceará puts 10 players in the box. They'll play for one ball. I believe this bad run will end tomorrow."

Still according to the number 6, the three points from this match will be fundamental for Mais Querido to remain strong in the fight for the championship title. 

"The Brazilian league has this difficulty. Even those at the top don't win every game. We have to focus on our team. Tomorrow will be a very important game. A win will help us in the fight for the title. We have to forget about our opponents and focus on our games."

In the history of the Brazilian Championship, the two clubs have played nine matches, and the red-and-black team has the advantage. They have won six, drawn one, and lost two. The Rio de Janeiro team also has more goals: 20 to 9.

Every time Flamengo and Chapecoense have played in Rio de Janeiro, the Red-Blacks have been unbeaten. They've played five games, winning four and drawing only one.

The last time the two teams faced each other in Rio de Janeiro was last year, in the Copa Sudamericana. On that occasion, "Mais Querido" won 4-0 and advanced to the next round.
