Flamengo receives amounts owed for the sale of player Hernane
The sale was made in 2014 and the club obtained successive victories in court against the Arab club.
By Flamengo Communication - inClube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that it received, on 29/05/2018, the amount of €5.000.010,00 (R$ 21.550.000,00) owed by the Arab club Al Nassr, due to the transfer of the athlete Hernane Vidal de Souza, “Brocador”, in 2014.
After victories in the first instance before FIFA and, in the second instance, before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and with the beginning of the execution and sporting penalties, Al Nassr approached Flamengo to propose payment of the debt, in addition to legal fees. The club had already been excluded from the 2018 Asian Champions League and was on the verge of losing points in the Saudi Championship.
According to Flamengo's Vice President of Legal Affairs and Attorney General, Flávio Willeman, "Flamengo, by trusting the legal bases that supported the transaction, had no doubt that it would receive the full amount due."
