Known for his decisive goals, Emerson Sheik made his debut for the Manto Sagrado in a Fla-Flu match for the 2009 Rio Cup, securing a 1-1 draw with his rival Tricolor in the final minute of the game. The striker scored six goals for the Manto Sagrado last season and was elected "The Guy of Mengão" once, in the draw against Santos.
