The day after Flamengo's impressive 5-1 victory over Chapecoense, training resumed at Ninho do Urubu, focusing on their next challenge against Bahia. The players who started the match underwent regenerative training at Flamengo's Center of Excellence in Performance (CEP FLA).
Also at the CEP facilities, other athletes performed muscle activation and injury prevention exercises before going to the field for warm-up. Following that, it was time for technical drills, which focused primarily on precision in passing and movement to create options for teammates.
Later, the team's tactical aspect received the attention of Flamengo's coach, Zé Ricardo. In a team training session on Field 4 of the training center, adjustments were made to the high defensive line and the passing game under pressure in the midfield. At the end of the session, long balls put the forwards in one-on-one situations with the goalkeepers participating in the activity.
This Friday (23) marks the start of Mais Querido's preparation for the match against Bahia's tricolor, for the 10th round of the Brazilian Championship. The match will be played this Sunday (25), at Arena Fonte Nova, with the ball rolling from 18:30 pm.
