Clube de Regatas do Flamengo will return to Florida to prepare for the 2025 season, which will also feature the club's participation in the first FIFA Super Club World Cup in June and July. The club is organizing the FC Series for the third time, marking the expansion of the Florida Cup to the United States. In 2024, it hosted, in addition to Flamengo, Manchester City's pre-season tour in July and August. It will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its inaugural edition in January.

Flamengo will begin the first part of the preseason in Gainesville, Florida, and will train at the athletic facilities of a major Florida university, which has more than 50,000 students and is recognized for its academic excellence and strong athletic level, with a high-level infrastructure for training.

Flamengo will travel to South Florida to face São Paulo in a friendly on January 19th at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, home of Inter Miami CF, Lionel Messi's Major League Soccer team, and will train at the Florida Blue Training Center, the American club's training facility. Flamengo will return to Brazil on January 24th for the rest of the season.

"We understand that it is extremely important to have a pre-season outside of Rio de Janeiro, where we can bring the entire group together to carry out the necessary training, both physical and technical and tactical, in addition to working on the mental side of the players, who will be exclusively dedicated to training, rest and preparation," highlighted Filipe Luís, Flamengo's coach.

"Holding this preseason in such an important location as the United States, with top-notch facilities, will be crucial to strengthening the group and preparing us for what's to come throughout the season. This is a time to unite the group and also create a social-affective relationship between the players, who will begin to strengthen bonds both on and off the field. It will also be an opportunity to welcome incoming players and the young players from the academy who may come up with us during this period," added Filipe Luís.

"It's always an honor to welcome Flamengo here to Florida. Flamengo is once again taking advantage of this January period to prepare with excellence for a unique schedule in 2025. We hope they are drawn to play here again in the FIFA Club World Cup this summer. We can already say it would be like playing at home," said Ricardo Villar, CEO of FC Series.

"Conducting this preparation period at a major American educational institution, with such a strong tradition in American sports, will enable the club to strengthen ties with thousands of university students who will be returning to classes during this same period. We have no doubt that Flamengo fans will be in force at the FIFA World Cup, just as they were in January of this year in Orlando, but it's important to connect with new strategic audiences in this process of internationalizing our brand," highlighted Gustavo Oliveira, Flamengo's Vice President of Communications and Marketing.

The July edition of the event, a success over the past four years and which featured the participation of major European teams such as Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona, is also confirmed for 2025. The announcement of the participating teams will be made in the first quarter of 2025.
