Defeat to Internacional puts the team in fourth place in the table

On Wednesday night, Rubro-Negro was defeated by Internacional by 2 to 1, at Beira-Rio, in the 23rd round of the competition. With the result, the team fell to fourth place in the classification table, remaining with 41 points. Internacional leads the Brazilian, with 46. In the next round, Flamengo will host Chapecoense at home, at Maracanã, Saturday (08), at 21 pm.
Mauricio Barbieri fielded a heavily modified Flamengo squad. With several absences, the coach fielded a heavily modified squad to face Internacional. The team felt a bit out of sync, but what really mattered in the first half was Internacional's early goal. Four minutes in, William Pottker received the ball in the box and shot to open the scoring. Flamengo, without Diego, Réver, Lucas Paquetá, and Cuéllar, took a while to find their feet, but soon began to have more possession and shot more times than Internacional.
