Flamengo continues preparing to face Cruzeiro in the Brazilian Championship and the afternoon of this Friday (23) was full of work at Ninho do Urubu. Dorival Júnior took advantage of the time he had to work at Field 4 and the final adjustments will be made on the morning of this Saturday (24).

Forward Henrique Dourado has returned to training at Ninho do Urubu. The number 19 has recovered from a facial injury and has already completed specific activities at the Center of Excellence in Performance (CEP FLA).

After the work, midfielder Willian Arão gave a press conference in the Victorino Chermont press room and stated that everyone in the squad is still thinking about the Brazilian Championship title.

"We believe. Our focus is to do our part. If Palmeiras stumbles and we don't do our part, it's no use. We have to win matches. If they stumble, we'll suffer. We have to forget about the other side. It's been that way, and it's been working."

The midfielder also took advantage of the conversation to analyze the moment he is experiencing in the current season.

"I'm happy with where I am right now. I've regained my confidence and consistency. Everything is working out for me to continue evolving. But I'm not satisfied. I'm always thinking about improving. I'm happy, but I always want to improve."

Earlier in the day, the athletes visited the construction site of the new professional module and Arão was full of praise for the future Training Center.

"I thought the training center was beautiful. It was impressive; I hadn't been there before. It still needs finishing, but it's beautiful. We talked among the players. I haven't been to every training center in Brazil. But if this isn't the best, it's among the top three."

Finally, Arão was asked about playing alongside Diego or Lucas Paquetá, and stated that his stance on the field is the same with both.

"It doesn't change much, my role is the same. Diego is a classic number 10. He has to spend more energy up front. Paquetá is younger. But Diego also protects space very well."

Change with the arrival of Dorival

"We don't know what would have happened if Dorival had arrived earlier. His arrival undoubtedly changed some things, like posture, attitude. Some details."

Act at the same time as Palmeiras

"I don't try to follow the other game. Against Grêmio, I only found out Palmeiras' result after the game. It's no use. We have to do our part. Unfortunately, we let what was in our hands slip away. Today we depend on them. Let them sort it out."

Title chances

"We never stop believing. As long as there's a chance, we'll fight until the end. There's no such thing as throwing in the towel. We'll always fight as if it were the last meal."

Relationship with Paquetá

"I spend a lot of time with Paquetá. We always talk and joke around. He's very cheerful, happy, and enjoying every moment. He's very happy."
