After two physical training sessions on Monday and Tuesday, the Flamengo squad returned for a ball practice this afternoon at Gávea Stadium. These are the team's final preparations for Sunday's big match against São Paulo at Morumbi Stadium.

Caio Júnior took advantage of today's training session to work on the players' fundamentals. While the defenders practiced defensive positioning for crosses into the box, the rest of the squad worked on passing, crossing, dribbling, and shooting. The standout performers were midfielders Jônatas and Marcelinho Paraíba, and forward Paulo Sérgio.

For Caio Júnior, the activity was important to observe some players.

"Today's training session was aimed at observing some players and instilling confidence in the athletes. It was important to see how the players' fundamentals are. It was good to see Vandinho. He showed he has confidence, and that's very good."

Goalkeeper Bruno, with left shoulder pain, only did physical exercises at the club's gym. The number 1 isn't a problem for Sunday. Eltinho, who is recovering from thigh pain, only ran laps around the field.
